'The Big Empty' short film to air May 11, 2024

New Bitcoin film “The Big Empty” features Spur people and places; at Palace May 11

 

The Dickens County Historical Commission and Galaxy Digital will air “The Big Empty,” a Bitcoin story in the heartland of Texas—and how our city has rebuilt its swimming pool. Filmed in cooperation with Galaxy Digital Holdings and produced by William Foxley, “The Big Empty” tells  the story of Spur, Texas and its relationship with its newest neighbors, an 800MW Bitcoin mine dubbed Helios. “The Big Empty” will be the first part of a FREE double feature, followed by “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” at 4 p.m., Sat., May 11 in downtown Spur.  |  COURTESY IMAGES
